Research Assistant

Rachel Claus holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Development with a focus in Environmental Governance from Utrecht University in the Netherlands, and a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria, Canada.

Rachel was involved in a collaborative transdisciplinary research project for her Master’s thesis, which evaluated the extent to which non-governmental organizations and government agencies were contributing to the fortification of community-based forestry institutions and livelihoods in rural Andhra Pradesh, India. Rachel has academic training in sustainability science principles, common pool resource governance, policy analysis, and theories of policy process. She was born in Victoria, and has a passion for travel.
