Barbara Waruszynski graduated from Royal Roads University’s Doctoral of Social Sciences program in 2017. She completed her dissertation entitled: “Collaboration in Scientific Research: Exploring the Factors that Influence Effective Collaboration during a Period of Transformational Change”. Her research examined the key factors that influence researchers’ attitudes and behaviours in collaborative scientific research, particularly as the federal government goes through a period of transformational change. Barbara’s findings aim to inform departmental policies, practices, and programs with the goal of improving how collaboration in scientific research is carried out across the federal community, in tandem with industry and academia. Her research supervisory committee comprised of Dr. Brian Belcher (supervisor), Dr. Wendy Schissel, and Dr. Michael Beyerlein. Read the abstract of Barbara’s dissertation here.
