Barbara Waruszynski a graduate of the Doctoral of Social Sciences Program at Royal Roads University. She wrote her dissertation on Collaboration in Scientific Research: Exploring the Factors that Influence Effective Collaboration during a Period of Transformational Change. The aim of this research is to examine the key factors that influence researchers’ attitudes and behaviours in collaborative scientific research, particularly as the federal government goes through a period of transformational change. The study findings will inform departmental policies, practices and programs with the goal of improving how collaboration in scientific research is carried out across the federal community, and in tandem with industry and academia. Her research supervisory committee is comprised of Dr. Brian Belcher (supervisor), Dr. Wendy Schissel, and Dr. Michael Beyerlein.
